visitors.
I had a friend over to my apartment the other day. It was his first visit.
I saw this friend of mine sizing up the place: checking out the book shelf, the photos, the "neat pile" of craft stuffs. Later, after he'd left, I wondered what he'd seen, what he' remember now (if anything). Did notice the picture of my great grandmother or the one of my brother in Mexico? Did he open the medicine cabinet when he was in the bathroom? Did he wonder why I had "Hello Kitty Candy Store" on my kitchen table?
I'm nosy. I always wander around houses and apartments looking at knick-knacks, opening ornamental boxes, inquiring as to the location rendered in a particular photo. When I walk on NYC streets, I strive to see into the windows of other people's houses. I open medicine cabinets.
So, I wonder what other people see when they see my stuff; what they think about it. And if what I hope they see has any similarities with what they actually do.

and, yes, tidy the medicine cabinet.
