Writing more was one of my resolutions, but it's not going so well these days. Grrrrr...motivation problems. But since it was the Chinese New Year just recently, everything is refreshed. My resolutions are just days old, not stale after a month of unuse.

I have recently noticed the great beauty in leeks as I have been cooking a lot of potato-leek soup. They are so lovely when you've just cut them open; all those layers forming unconcentric circles in various shades of green. Vegetables are often lovely when you run your knife through them. Red cabbage is another fine example. Oh, the purple and white swirls.

On another note, I just joined this free dating site. They say I'm a "window shopper:" I get ferocious crushes but can only really date fellows I've known for a long time. I guess that's true. I've sent a few messages but no one writes back. This is disheartening, to say the least. I guess it's like sales; you have to pitch yourself over and over. UGH!

I just signed up for another triathlon...this one is in July. I've hardly worked out a bit since the last one, so it will come pretty fast, I think. I'm going to go for a run now. Hopefully my lungs won't freeze.
