I am starting a list of all of the cool places where I have swum. I mean, an informal list. But, since yesterday's swim in the Hudson River (read all about it, if you haven't already, here, and be on the look out for pics, which I hope will be posted soon), I've been inspired to remember my most memorable swims. 

1. Lake Tanganika, Africa's deepest lake

2. Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake

3. Lake Michigan, in late October

4. the Sandy River

5. the Hudson River

6. the Atlantic, the Pacific, and the Indian oceans

7. many, many beautiful lakes in the South ... I need to look them up on a map. (Fortunately, it's a partial list.)

8. the Gulf of Mexico

9. the Caribbean and the Mediterranean seas
