i didn't even get a lollipop.

Even though I am a "grown-up," going to the doctor is scary. And you have to tell them all this personal information about yourself and your health and the goings-on of your body and stuff. I want to say: None of your business! But, more than anyone else, it's totally their business. It is, in fact, what they get paid for.

I got blood test today. Needle. I will get Yellow Fever shots on Thursday. Needle. And I ask you: where is the lollipop to commemorate my bravery? Just because I'm 30, does not mean I don't deserve a reward.

I hear you Les. I had to have an emergency root canal this week and I was terrified. After the procedure, which went well, I wanted a prize for my bravery and yet there I was walking out alone. Sometimes I just wish I was still a kid.
