the mail
Tuesday, the mail brought a medal and a certificate from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for my efforts in the triathlon. My certificate of appreciation says my full name. It's pretty official.
Actually, it's just like the schwag I used to get in high school, without the varsity letter. (Ten points if you can guess what sport. Mary, you are precluded from guessing.)
Still, I hung the medal on the corner of my bookshelf. And I put my number, not the certificate, on my fridge. Might as well. What else I am going to do with it? Throw it away? Not quite.
