Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today is the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, as is known. This is one of my three favorite holidays (along with Christmas and Labor Day). Later today, I am going to Saint John's Cathedral here in Manhattan to light a candle in honor of the Reverend's birthday and in celebration of Barack Obama's inauguration. Church isn't my first destination in most situations, but today, it seems the right place. And, certainly, St. John's is an appropriately awesome place for such prayers and wishes.
