Municipal folks took down the snowflakes that decorate the street lights and replaced them with the pastel flags of the season. There are other indicators of the season, of course, like the buds on the trees and daffodils and the turtles in Central Park climbing on to rocks to sun themselves after a winter of being buried in the mud. I haven't quite been buried in the mud (more like the flannel sheets), but I'm looking forward to some time in the sun.
