documentation.

I got my new driver's license in the mail today (only six business days after I went to the DMV, which is an impressive turn around if you ask me. On the other hand, it's only impressive because bureaucratic tasks like this often, inexplicably, take forever). My new license has a heart stamped on it...because the State of New York loves me! Or it will once my organs have been harvested.

The new license has an old picture of me, from five years ago when I got the license in the first place. I wish I'd gotten a new photo taken. It's nice to get an official picture snapped at different points in one's life. Ah, well, I have to renew my passport. I haven't lost my chance for an image of me at 32 to be emblazoned on a United States document.
