Oh, Carrie...

Underwood that is. She's singing an old Randy Travis song in a red ballgown with a lot of skirt and crooning into a JEWEL-ENCRUSTED microphone. Yes, it's the County Music Awards, with Reba McIntyre hosting. I love me some country music, as you all may know, but these events get to me. Perhaps because they always cause me to start drafting my own acceptance speech, and then, of course, I realize I'm not up for an award from the Academy of Country Music and thus will not need this witty, carefully-crafted speech. Maybe if I'd just gone to the American Idol try-outs, it'd be me with the sparkling microphone. I mean, who cares if I can't carry a tune in a bucket?

Oh, costume change for Reba...and she's singing. She's just like Hugh Jackman: she dances, she sings, she makes jokes. And she's cute. But she has to use a regular microphone.
