the Obamas

As you've probably heard, the Obamas had a date in New York City last night. In the Times article, the actors from the Broadway show were quoted as saying "You always do your best show possible." But the Presidential couple had dinner before hand at a place called Blue Hill, in the village, and I wish that the Times reporter had talked to the Obamas' waiter.

How would it be to stroll out to welcome your new two-top and realize Barack and Michelle are seated in your section? What if he got the order wrong? What if he spilled wine? Did he have other tables? And, the big question: what did they eat?

If I were still in the city, I might go down there and see if I could find the waiter...just to satisfy my own curiousity. But that's my other bit of news: I moved. For the summer. I'll be back in Gotham in the fall.

i wonder how much they tipped, but i bet servers have some ethical code that would have kept the waiter quiet. i bet the expression on his face when you ask would totally give it away.

I can't believe I didn't think of the tip amount.

Howdy,
I've finally gotten back on-line, at the library. I was kind enough to build a basket attached to the front window so that my various cats could enjoy the view, a cat-bird seat if you will. Well, unfortunately the placement was far to near where we keep the computer (by the front window for the same reason as the cat seat). The cats in their enthusiasm for jumpingg, as cats will do, landed on the computer who knows how many times before they took their toll. I feel the urge to blame my cat Tolstopuz because, as his Russian name suggests, he weighs an impressive twenty pounds.
Anyway, I'm roaming the web again, and I'm even more appaled by the lack of grammar than I was the last time I spidered around the web. Am I just some Quixotic Chaucer tyltyng agin wyndmylles or is language dying all aound me?

Much Love,
Krishna

P.S. I forgot to bring your e-mail with me so I just looked up your site.

Krishna! Are you knocking my grammar?

Just kidding...the internet is a vast and scary place, full of the good and the bad and grammar to match. Try to find the good!

I'm glad to hear from you!
